Thank you Mr. Jones

A community hero, Mr. J. Eddie Jones past away this week. Here is a picture at his going away reception when he moved to McKinney. He and our son are discussing Mr. Jones' war times. Our son told Mr. Jones that he got to visit an aircraft carrier the previous summer. J.Eddie told him that he needed to visit a battleship. This summer our family had an opportunity to visit the USS Alabama battleship. Our son's first question was, "Is this the battleship that Mr. Jones was on in the war?".

Hectic Homecoming

Thursday night before homecoming was crazy! I was helping a friend prepare lunch on friday for our school, we found out that my mom was rushed to emergency surgery to have her appendix removed and in the midst of preparing 5 lbs of meat and 3 quarts of rice for mexican stack up, our son was running a fever!

All you can do is pray and pray a lot, when all that is going on! We made it through Friday ok and as I was trying to get ready to go to the game, my hubby and kids walk in with those most amazing homecoming mum! I was so surprised, it was a really sweet sentiment - it even said "Supermommy"! I was tired yet rejuvenated, knowing that God is in control of all things. And on a side note: Mums the word!

Silly String!

A pulley for her loose tooth and some pet jewelry too!

This girl is something else! Sometimes, I wonder if she will be a fashion designer or an engineer. She is always working on some project. Here are a few examples of what she came up with when she played with a skein of pink yarn.
